I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
John 17:23
Our Lord’s prayer there is that the world may know that God has loved us (who are Christians) as he has loved his only begotten and beloved son; and have loved them AS (in the same way as) thou has loved me. That is one of the results of realizing that we are alive unto God. God loves the Christian AS he loved his only begotten son. This, in turn, means that we are open to all the blessings of God.
