A Christian Has No Right to be Miserable or Unhappy.

Karl Madsen. Little Girl by a Fireplace.

Whatever you may feel about yourself, whatever you may know that’s true about yourself, there is no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus — none. You mustn’t think of it in that way. You think of it now as your lack of faithfulness to the new husband — think of it in terms of Christ. Never again think of it in terms of the law. A Christian has no right to be miserable or unhappy. And if you are a miserable and unhappy Christian, it is because you haven’t understood this doctrine. You haven’t looked to the new husband, and smiled in his face, in spite of your being what you are. And you haven’t seen him smiling upon you though you are what you are.
