Are you still afraid of the law? If you are, you’re very disloyal to your new husband. You’re still afraid of the old husband; and that’s a great insult to the new husband. You mustn’t be afraid of the law. You mustn’t be afraid of your old husband. You mustn’t go back to that — that’s no longer there. And it’s a very grievous act of disloyalty to the new husband, who wants all that you can give and the fullness of your life; and there you are, fearful and afraid of your old husband — from whom you’ve been legally separated by the death to which you’ve been put to by your union with Christ.
