Christ was born on earth, that we might be born again into the kingdom of heaven.
He was laid in a manger, that we might live in mansions.
He became the child of an earthly family, that we might become the children of God, the heavenly Father.
He was subject to Mary and Joesph, that we might enter into the glorious liberty of the children of God and be free.
He laid aside His glory, in order that we might have glory.
He was born poor, in order that we might die rich.
He was welcomed by a few humble shepherds, in order that we might be welcomed by the heavenly hosts.
And He was hunted by a cruel king, in order that we might be delivered from an even more cruel king.
